Join coffee expert Mary Williams in this unique series of classes with an insight into the global business of coffee, as she teaches the basics of tasting, evaluating, brewing and pairing coffees with various foods. Truly a unique culinary experience!
Price: $30 per person per class, or $75 per person for the series of 3 classes. Each class will last approximately 2 hours.

Learn how to taste and evaluate coffee like the experts do! Mary will guide you through the “cupping” process – the traditional method for tasting & comparing coffee characteristics as done by the coffee experts. We will taste and compare coffee from five different countries, evaluating each coffee’s aroma, flavor, acidity, body and finish.

Brewing the Perfect Cup

Learn the basics for making a great cup of coffee every time. We will explore the differences that roast style can make in the flavor of coffee, demonstrate the various methods of brewing: drip, French press, automatic brewer and espresso, and taste & compare the differences in each cup.

Learn how to choose the best coffee to serve with various foods. We will taste & compare coffee paired with dessert, cheese, and fruit, discuss complementary flavor characteristics in coffee and food, what makes the perfect pairing, and how to choose the right coffee to finish off any meal.
