Essentials of Wine & Food Pairing
with Master Sommelier Peter Neptune

Join Peter Neptune, one of only 73 Master Sommeliers in the US, as he explores the essentials of pairing wine and food. This is a unique opportunity to look at food and wine combinations from the classic to the contemporary. We will cover the basic considerations when matching wine and food, including weight and richness, flavor intensity, acids and tannins, sweetness, saltiness, and oiliness. We will also consider key flavors such as smoked food and spicy food. Wines will be expertly chosen to illustrate these principles and food will be prepared by Analisa Albert, a graduate of the Laguna Culinary Arts Professional Chef Program. Price: $75 per person.
